Head Coaches are automatically given their own children. If you have an assistant coach registered prior to the draft, you will be allowed to also be automatically give ONE assistant coaches child per team. If you want multiple assistants, the only way to guarantee their child to your team will be to drat them or trade for them.

One coach per team is allowed to attend the draft. While we encourage that to be the head coach, if scheduling doesn't allow, the assistant coach is allowed to draft.

If neither head or assistant coach is available, your team will be randomized by a board member or Artificial Intelligence. This would guarantee only coach/assistant coach children. Teams randomized by a board member or AI will NOT be eligible for trading by the head coach.

Trades will be allowed for 10 minutes upon conclusion of the draft. Each coach is allowed a max of 2 trades per team. UNLESS you have selected to have one assistant coaches child automatically assigned to you, then that head coach will receive ONE trade.

Teams will be final on draft day. No exceptions will be made.

Our goal with TCYSA is for each child to get the opportunity to play AT LEAST 50% of each game. We need to limit the number of players per team because of this.

Occasionally that means we end up with more teams than we have volunteer coaches. If we don't have enough coaches on draft day, some teams will be auto assigned. If your child ends up on a team that is auto assigned, a board member will contact all guardians immediately, in hopes that someone will step up to coach the team. In the event that this occurs and there is still no success in finding a coach, that team will be coached on game days by an available board member. However, most of our board members are already coaching their own teams, so practices for teams without a coach will be at the discretion of the board and can not be guaranteed.

Any coaches who take on a team AFTER the draft will have no trading options as teams will be final.

Mandatory coaches meeting will be held Saturday August 29t at the game day fields.
