Tri City cyclones

TCC is our Select-Club league under TCYSA that requires a higher level of commitment compared to our recreational league. This league involves a more rigorous practice commitment, more competitive nature of game, traveling to away games, and a level of comradery between teammates and the coaching staff throughout a full year.

Skylar Eisenhauer

Academy Coach U8

Skylar began her playing career with TCYSA and later the Texans, FC Dallas, Force, and Classics Elite clubs. Skylar also played four seasons for Pleasanton HS under Coach Bird.

Skylar brings her experience and inspiration as a local soccer product to assist with Academy since Spring 2024.

Aaron Wong

Tri City Cyclones Director of Coaching

U8 through U14

Aaron playing career includes the 81 Hammers in San Antonio, one season with Trinity University and three seasons for Southwestern University where he was captain his Junior year.

His coaching career includes Clemens HS (2008-2018), winning multiple district titles and two regional tournament appearances. He was named TASCO All-Star Head Coach and TASCO Region 4 Coach of the Year 2014.

Since 2005, Aaron has coached select soccer in New Braunfels, San Antonio, ranging boys and girls up to D-1 U18. He was assistant to Darren Lenton at NB Ajax 2012-2017.

Jorge Vazquez 

U13 & U14 Girls Division 2

Jorge started playing at the age of 4 in Rec Leagues & School. Advancing his skills throughout the years he ended up joining Club Arizona Pros at the age of 13.​

He played for Cibola Highschool in Yuma, Arizona and lead the team to two consecutive regional conference championships as a standout goalkeeper.​

This prowess earned him a 4-year scholarship to the University of The Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico where he continued to excel on the pitch.​

He has coached the girls soccer team at Holy Cross Highschool since 2009 and has volunteered for over 4 years with TCYSA as both a coach and referee.

CLUB FAQS

Who will be the coach/TRAINER?

All TCC trainers are well experienced trainers with a background in professional coaching and/or seasoned playing and will be assigned to your child based on their age bracket, however, all trainers will be involved with each age level to some degree.

How are trainers selected?

All trainers are well vetted for proven excellence in the sport of soccer. All trainers complete a background check, Heads Up course, and Safe Sport course so no matter the trainer, you can be certain your player is in capable hands.

How can i become a TCC parent volunteer?

Can I choose my child's team?

Players are placed on teams strictly based on age level. Because Club isn't as large as rec league you are assigned a trainer for your player's age group.

When and where are practices?

Practice locations and times are determined by trainers. Practices begin in mid-August for Fall & February for Spring. Training continues into Summer but is optional.

When and where are games?

AWAY GAMES, are  held in San Antonio or surrounding cities while HOME GAMES will be in Pleasanton,  Game times and schedules will be released before the start of the season.

how much does club cost?

$100/month for 8 months with 2 included bonus months of training at no extra cost. This covers Fall & Spring training + games & an optional Summer training . Fees cover 2 practice jerseys, 2 game jerseys, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of socks, 1 team hoodie, 1 team club bag, trainers, referees, and insurance fees. There are payment plans & discounts available. 10% Discount for paying in full. 5% discount when split in two. Standard payments can be split over 8 months.

Start registration and choose your payment options in GotSport. Discounts will only be applicable when asked BEFORE completing registration. We accept Debit and Credit Card, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal.

Does my child have to try out for a team?

Club League may hold player placements or tryouts depending on the age level. Academy Select teams (U8 & U10) do not have try outs but U11 and higher require try outs.

Do I have to live in the tri-city area?

We accept kids outside the Tri-City area, including Charlotte, Tilden, and Alice. Contact us for more info.

when does the season start?

Club league begins in Late Aug/Early Sept for with holiday breaks in between seasons. You can join mid season, however, we recommend players stick to full year for consistency and improvement.

How long is the season?

TCC does prefer players dedicate their time and efforts to the full season which involves Fall, Spring & an optional Summer training. While not required to do both, it is beneficial for consistency and team rostering

can a beginner player join club?

A player new to the sport of soccer can come to player placement/tryouts, however, Club league is a higher level of commitment and skill compared to our rec league. We always recommended new players start in Rec to build a love for the sport and foundation for skills before transitioning to club.

what size ball do we need?

While you are more than welcome to bring your own ball. Our TCC Staff and Trainers have our own for players to use.

what gear do we need?

Shin guards are REQUIRED for practices and games. Socks are to be worn OVER shin guards. Cleats are a club requirement. Water bottles are highly recommended.
